With it's M-Worker Mission, AEG TranzCom has developed a personal navigation system which allows a maximum use of TETRA radios. The radio is connected to the screen with a simple cable connection. The M-Worker Mission is designed to optimize interventions, guide teams and offer alert services and messaging solutions to the police, medical assistance teams and fire brigades. The SDS (short data service) allows users to quickly exchange necessary information in field operations. The user can decide, which message he wants to take. As soon as he has chosen one message, the navigation system starts to guide the vehicle to the GPS coordinates transferred in the message. Mission can be equipped with both TETRA and GPRS connections, therefore allowing users to receive the messages in two different ways and securing the delivery of the message.
To avoid unnecessary calls to TETRA radios, the device faciliates communication by sending status as well as data. There are custom codes relating to the users situation, such as "on the way", "arrived", "free", etc. [www.aegtranzcom.com]
