DOM: 'Intelligent Validity' automates access control Print E-mail
Tuesday, 31 May 2011 14:12

During their first appearance at IFSEC in Birmingham this year, DOM has presented their mechatronic and electronic locking technology as well as access control solutions.

Among the solutions on display was the 'DOM Guardian', a fitted reader, incorporating all the electronic properties of the 'DOM Protector' into a fitting. The reader unit, functional parts, mechatronics and the battery compartment are in the external fitting - therefore the fitted reader can be mounted on the external side or within the internal plate. The DOM Guardian works online with an RF NetManager, so that events at the door can be relayed in real time.

The 'DOM Protector' combines access control with mechanical locking in a mechatronic solution. It is available in a variety of models and versions, from Double to Glass door cylinder and with specific functions such as Fire Resitance, Water Resistance and Emergency Exit.

The concept of the 'DOM Vitual Network' is intended for facilities whose buildings are widely spread out and where authorisations are frequently changig for different areas and entry data. The Access Manager Terminal uses DOM ITT to incorporate a system of “Intelligent Validity”, which has a range of different seetings and offers extension of up to 240 hours or 360 days, or a specific date. In addition authorisation changes can be programmed to the transponder. [www.dom-sicherheitstechnik.de]
