Installing readers on metal surfaces or on the opposite side of a wall where another reader is operating sometimes negatively impacts a reader’s performance. For these circumstances Idesco has a solution: installation and shield plates. A plastic Installation Plate, installed between a reader and a metal surface, lifts the device away from interfering electromagnetic eddy waves created by the conductive metal surface. Additionally, this installation plate conveniently covers old screw holes in the wall from a previous device and leads the installation cable from the reader. In turn, Idesco metallic Insulation Plates deployed behind a reader prevent its broadcast signal field from being hampered by any reader or other electromagnetic device installed on the opposite side of the wall.
