Idesco is introducing the Access 8 CD 5 2.0 AES, said to be much more secure than other products. This is because a 128 bit AES cipher encrypts any data travelling from this reader to its hosting system’s controller. Furthermore, all access control or security key data processed outside the reader housing is also encrypted. It also includes robust security features, like vandal-proofing, tamper alarms, and encrypted reader-card communication. It also secures reader-host data communication with strong encryption.  Also, like it’s predecessors, the Access 8 CD 5 2.0 joins Idesco’s eco20 product line, consuming 60% less energy than comparable products. www.idesco.fi
