Kaba’s new B-web 93 00 (see Picture) and B-Net 91 05 FP terminals with integrated RFID and biometric readers enable user identification via both biometrics and access media. They ensure unmistaken and secure data registration for time + attendance, access control and employee self-service facilities.

The “verification” solution guarantees a high level of security through the use of two separate identifying items (fingerprint and access medium). In addition, there is no conflict with a country’s data protection rules because each user carries their own “identity” around with them and the fingerprinttemplates do not need to be stored centrally.

This also means the number of users is unlimited. Existing Kaba installations using Legic cards can easily be extended by application of this system. [www.kaba.com]
