Adani, a manufacturer of proprietary Digital Radiographic Scanning (DRS) technology for medical and security applications, has been awarded an honourable mention for the new design of its MAMMOSCAN design by the Red Dot. Adani first launched the MammoScan in 2007 and are currently undergoing regulatory approval for the new version of the MammoScan with advanced detection technology and software upgrades that will result in it being one of the highest specification Full Field Digital Mammography Systems. To support the new systems, Adani appointed Creanova (Italy) to work with them on a more patient friendly design. Together they revised both the internal workings and the look of the new MammoScan resulting in the final version that has been awarded this recognition. The product design competition has existed since 1955. Approximately 1,700 companies from 60 countries have taken part with 4,433 entries in total this year.
