Dallmeier has selected Theia’s two new 5 megapixel lenses for use on the new 5 megapixel version of their popular DDF4900HDV dome camera that will be released at IFSEC security exhibition in Birmingham, UK May 16 – 19, 2011. In addition, the two lenses are now offered as optional accessories for use on all of their box camera lines. With the introduction of the Dallmeier’s 5 megapixel version of its DDF4900 HD dome camera, Dallmeier searched for lenses to optimize and complement the increased resolution benefits of its new dome camera and selected Theia’s new 5 megapixel offerings. Theia’s newest megapixel offering, the SL940A telephoto lens, provides full 5 megapixel resolution to zoom in and deliver high detail images. The IR-corrected, CS mount lens has a focal length of 9 to 40 mm, and is designed to let the user take full advantage of the ½.5” sensor used by Dallmeier’s new camera. And at a compact 50mm long, it easily fits in the dome profile. In addition, Dallmeier has selected the new SL183 1.8 to 3mm, 5 megapixel, IR corrected lens with Theia’s patented Linear Optical Technology® to provide up to 115 degrees undistorted horizontal field of view (HFOV), providing the opportunity to cover more area with a single camera.
