Over the course of 2011, JVC Professional will introduce a new Super LoLux HD line of V.Networks cameras which are equipped with CMOS sensors that output full HD resolution, and offer multi-codec support, including M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264. “All H.264 compression is not the same. Many security camera manufacturers use H.264 Baseline or Main Profile, which doesn’t provide the storage and bandwidth efficiencies that customers expect,” said Fedja Vehabovic, Manager, CCTV Europe explains. “JVC’s cameras support H.264 High Profile, which uses significantly less bandwidth than H.264 Baseline or Main Profile-based cameras.”

Features of the cameras include auto back focus, on-board recording to SD card, motion detection, privacy mask, and a variety of built-in video analytics features, including active tampering detection and audio detect.
