Optosecurity: Explosives detection receives public safety award |

Threat detection technology specialist Optosecurity – based in Quebec, Canada - has been awarded the 2011 CATAAlliance Canadian Innovation Award for Public Safety Technology, which is presented by Motorola. The Award was given to the company on May 18th at the CATAAlliance 26th Annual Innovation and Leadership Awards Gala Dinner in recognition of it’s technology engineering development. The products of Optosecurity include the EU Certified ‚OptoScreener’ Liquid Explosives Detection System and the EU Certified ‚XMS Threat Detection’ Software Suite, the first Type C upgrade solutions to be commercially deployed in Europe compliant with current EU regulations. Based on a network-enabled open architecture allowing to collect and integrate data from multiple X-ray machines, ‚eVelocity’ provides real-time remote checkpoint screening and operations management from a remote centralized screening centre with network management and data analytics.
