R&S SITLine, the Rohde & Schwarz product line of broadband encryption devices, has been extended with the new R&S SITLine ETH50. The device is intended for the lower performance classes (25 Mbit/s, 50 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s), and its wide temperature range (–20 °C to +70 °C) and fanless design allow it to be used in non-air-conditioned server rooms, on desktops and in moving vehicles.

The ETH50 has been approved by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for handling classified information up to the German restricted (VS-NfD) and NATO restricted levels. Different user groups can be defined for the management of network and security settings so that only authorized persons can access confidential data. Another modern security feature is the emergency clear button for protecting all stored information in extreme situations.
