SanWave - a new wireless IP video radio system by Santec - provides an alternative to cable or fibre connections between cameras and remote DVRs or control rooms. SanWave is a WLAN technology based on standards with extended security features and licence-free frequency bands. Compared to underground and above-ground works, costs for installation and rent, SanWave provides a proven return-on-investment, along with high reliability and high bandwidth. Due to the lack of cabling, the wireless solution can quickly be implemented, whether as an interim solution or permanent for IP video networks. SanWave is available in three models. The SanWave 54-SP-1 is able tom transfer signals up to a distance of 1 km. The other models are the 108-MP-2 and the 108-SP-2 (up to 2 km). The operating frequency is 5 GHZ. The system supports up to 4 satellites, has an IP-65 rating and transfers the signals secured with WEP64/128/152 or WPA, 128 Bit AES encoding. [www.santec-video.com]
