Suresafe has developed a repeater that can extend the working range between any Man Down alarm unit and the base unit, named MD-18R. The effective distance of MD-18R is about 60% more than a normal man down alarm unit. If one repeater is addedbetween the man down unit and the base unit, the working distance will be extended from 320 meters to about 900 - 1100 meters radius.

The Man Down system consists of a Man Down unit and a Base unit and is available for individual and group use. It can be set to 2 groups, while each group can be set up to 18 members. The base unit can be installed on site (such as in a security lodge, reception or central control room, etc.) or on a car or truck. The base unit has a 120 dB alarm, a warning light and a 7 segment LED display to annouce the emergency.

The System is simple to operate, with virtually no maintenance giving rapid alert spreading to all members in the same group to help reducing the risk. This system works inside buildings or in open yard areas. The typical effective range outdoor is up to 200 meters, indoor up to 40 meters through walls.
